Crocodilians
My journey to this point has been more of a twisting and winding river, than a straight path. I called my business "Forge A Path Media" because I've always found myself in times and places that needed creative problem solving.
Since I was a child, I had a connection to wildlife and nature- climbing trees in my dresses or running up to my grandmother's cow to help her milk Daisy. I always thought I would get into marine biology and swim with killer whales, but then reptiles found me. To be more specific: crocodilians.
20+ years
I've been studying and working with crocodilians for over 20 years.
I wrote an easy-to-use identification guide to crocodilians from all over the world with my husband, John.
I've been an instructor at the Crocodilian Biology & Management course, located at the St Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park in St Augustine, Florida since 2010.
Starting off as a zookeeper and educator, and today doing eco-marketing, social media strategizing, and wildlife photography and filmmaking.
From Prairies to Jungles
As long as I'm out in the wilderness, I'm happy. I'm comfortable in the uncomfortable places.

Traveling the World
From Australia to Africa to my own backyard, I'm always up for a challenge to tell the story of the wildlife I'm aiming my camera at.
My aim is to find innovative ways to tell their conservation stories and shift the narrative for dangerous wildlife.
Dangerous Wildlife
Some wildlife evokes fear, but their stories are ones that I'm passionate about telling.
Like this Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake. She was calm and relaxed while we were filming her. It was difficult to get her to rattle because she was in a peaceful and relaxed state.
The Journey Ahead...
The fire has been lit and the challenges will come. But I'm excited to see what's ahead.
